Dispurse Foundation and Sustainable Peru signed an inter-institutional alliance agreement aimed at closing the basic and digital literacy gaps in communities.
In the continuing effort to combat illiteracy and the lack of basic reading and writing skills in the northern region of Cajamarca, Dispurse Foundation celebrates the achievements at the end of the first year of its Community Literacy project in the province of Cutervo.
In 2023, we worked with 155 students from ten literacy circles of CEBA Fe y Alegría N°69, in the province of Cutervo. According to the Dispurse Admin System progress report, as of December 2023, 110 students have successfully completed our program.
Thus, on December 4, the graduation ceremony was held, which included the participation of local and educational authorities of the district. During this event, diplomas were awarded to students who successfully completed the FOCUS program; and certified the facilitators of each of the literacy circles for their outstanding performance in the Dispurse training program.
These results reflect a significant impact on the lives of students, paving the way toward a more educated and skilled future for the Cutervo community. Dispurse Foundation reaffirms its commitment to education and hopes to continue achieving success in the years to come.
Joint work
The collaboration between Fe y Alegría and the Dispurse Foundation seeks to close the educational gap for those who did not access or complete basic education. This alliance supports the efforts of the Ministry of Education, generating innovative experiences that impact public education policies for youth and adults.
