In this joint effort, it is crucial to highlight the positive impact of literacy on mothers of children with anemia and malnutrition. Acquiring reading and writing skills not only strengthens the autonomy of these women, but also allows them to access crucial information about the health and well-being of their children. Education thus becomes a powerful tool to break the cycle of anemia and malnutrition, empowering mothers to make informed decisions about the nutrition and care of their families.

FOCUS methodology, developed by Dispurse, will be implemented for mothers' literacy, contributing significantly to the program. This approach not only seeks to combat anemia and malnutrition from a medical point of view, but also addresses the root of the problem by empowering women through education.

Local authorities are committed to presenting results in December 2024, with the aim of reducing anemia and malnutrition rates by 2 percentage points, which currently exceed 20%. Anemia, a serious public health problem in Peru, affects one in two children, causing delays in their development due to iron deficiency in the body.

Dispurse Foundation reaffirms its commitment to improving the health and quality of life in the population of Cajamarca, using literacy as a key tool to empower mothers and positively transform the reality of their families.
