An Assessment Study

How can we evaluate outcomes in literacy and numeracy amongst our participants?

At Dispurse we are dedicated to evaluate the impact that Dispurse Literacy Program have on participants outcome in literacy and numeracy after finishing the program. That is why we, together with experienced researchers, implemented an assessment study in 2022.

How can we evaluate outcomes in literacy and numeracy amongst our participants?

Andrea Junyent, PhD, representing Dispurse, delivered the oral presentation "Alfabetización de mujeres en contextos rurales en el Perú: un instrumento de evaluación" (Women's Literacy in Rural Contexts in Peru: An Assessment Tool) at the V Coloquio de Investigación Educativa (Colloquium on Educational Research) in Argentina, held on August 7, 8, and 9, 2024, at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario.

The Colloquium aimed to strengthen broad and pluralistic dialogue among researchers, specialists, and experts, with the belief that such exchanges contribute to greater cohesion and the strengthening of the multidisciplinary academic community in the field of education.

Andrea presented in the Working Group specialized on Youth and Adult Education to experts in the field. The presentation focused on the Dispurse literacy program implemented in Cajamarca and the assessment study designed to evaluate the outcomes in reading, writing, and numeracy among program participants. The experts in the working group praised both the program’s implementation and the assessment of its results. Their questions and suggestions provided valuable insights for further improving our work.
